Police investigating possible drive-by shooting

At least seven shots were apparently fired at a house in the 1100 block of West 12th Street about 8:30 p.m. Thursday in what police are calling a drive-by shooting.

No one was injured in the shooting and no suspects have been arrested, according to police reports.

Reports indicate no one was in the home at the time of the shooting.

According to reports:

• Police called to the area were flagged down by a witnesses, who said he had discovered what appeared to be an empty 9mm shell casing near a home in the block. The witness and the officer discovered six more spent shell casings in the street.

• Police discovered six bullet holes in the house; two near the front door and four in the front porch.

• Two spent bullets were found; one in a bullet hole in the house and another on the ground near another bullet hole in the house.

Investigators were not able to determine a motive behind the shooting and are still investigating.
